Overview

MaritimeOne Training is a crew training management platform that handles the full training lifecycle — from course setup and crew assignment through examination, certification, payment processing, and reporting back to crew management systems. It now includes manning agency management, built-in payment processing, and a visual training calendar.

How It Works

Training Setup

Administrators configure courses with modules, video content, and downloadable materials. Courses are assigned per rank (required or optional). Scheduled training sessions are created with instructor assignment, locations, and participant limits.

Manning Agencies

Manage manning agency clients with contact details, address, and active/inactive status. Training requests are linked to their originating agency, enabling agency-specific reporting and billing.

Smart Scheduling

When a training request comes in — either manually created, received from a manning agency, or triggered from MaritimeOne crew change operations — the system can auto-assign crew to the closest available training date based on rank requirements and scheduling availability.

Examination & Certification

Built-in exam engine with multiple choice, true/false, and essay questions. Timed assessments with question randomization from reusable question banks. Automatic grading with pass/fail results. Administrators can override failed results with documented reasons. Certificates are auto-generated with configurable templates, signatories, and public verification links.

Payment Processing

Record payments against training requests with multiple payment methods, reference numbers, and receipt generation. Void payments with documented reasons. Track sales and transactions from a dedicated dashboard.

Training Calendar

Visual calendar view of all scheduled training sessions with filtering by course, instructor, and date range. Session drill-down and ICS calendar export for Outlook and Google Calendar.

Crew Experience

Crew members access their portal to view assigned courses, take exams, check results, download certificates, and provide post-training feedback.

Integration

MaritimeOne Training integrates with MaritimeOne via REST API and webhooks — receiving training requests from the crewing module and sending completion notifications back to update crew change monitoring checklists. Webhook API enables event-driven integration with external systems.
